Description
Canihua (Conventional/Organic) Canihua which is grown in Peru is related to Quinoa and is in fact also known as “Baby Quinoa” due to its smaller size. Canihua is also similar to its more famous cousin in the fact that it is a gluten-free pseudo-grain high in protein, fiber, iron and calcium.
Chenopodium pallidicaule, known as canihua, canihua or canahua (from Quechua qaniwa, qanawa or qanawi)[1][2][3] and also kaniwa, is a species of goosefoot, similar in character and uses to the closely related quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa). |
